In 2014, The Antonov Foundation announced a $4 million gift to the
University of Maryland.
This gift supported construction of the
Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Engineering, a new computer science building designed for cutting edge work in virtual reality, augmented reality, computer vision, robotics, and future computing platforms. The center includes the Antonov Auditorium with nearly 300 seats with shared tables and swivel chairs that enable students to alternate between lecture-based presentations and collaborative teamwork. $500,000 of that money was used to fund scholarships.
